Dallas Center, Iowa is a community that features a rich heritage and a small town quality of life within 20 miles of the greater Des Moines area. Dallas Center's library, parks, pool and other recreational activities provide opportunities for residents to unwind, as well as an assortment of events for people of all ages to join the community as they celebrate small town living in a big way. Throughout the year, join the Dallas Center community at the local Farmers' Market, held every Friday starting in June through September. There's also an annual city-wide garage sale, Easter Egg Hunt, Beggars' Night Bonanza, a Christmas celebration held the first week of December and Winterfest. Come out and support local artists during Art in the Park each June featuring Iowa Artists selling acrylic paintings, photography, contemporary pieces, stained glass hangings, crystal jewelry and yard art. There's also food, music and wine samples from local vineyards. The largest event of the year is Fall Festival held at the end of August. When you're not out at one of Dallas Center's annual events, hit the Raccoon River Trail and 33 miles of paved trails that head through picturesque natural areas and leads to the heart of downtown Des Moines.
